Dog with fractured paw?

you're doing a great job with treating your dog. our cat broke her foot last yr. it wasn't fun, but the cast she had allowed her to move around fairly normally. the transparent fluid you see is probably white blood cells which flood the area to kill germs. keep doing the disinfecting & bandaging. shouldn't need to soak his foot anymore. keep an eye on it & treat to prevent infection. your dog must trust you a lot to allow you to do this. i don't think you need to do anything further other than prevent further injury. (any household things that might hurt him should be put away if possible.)
