To those of the Jewish faith: What is the role of the Messiah to come, and who prophesied His coming?

I'm not Jewish, but I do know most of the messianic prophecies do not fit Jesus, and there's a considerable list of them, mostly in Isaiah and Ezekiel I believe, also Zecharia.
