Is the mitsubishi eclipse a girl's car?

I'm a male, 18 years old and Im looking for a new car in my price range and I liked the look of the Mitsubishi eclipse and the eclipse spyder, both the 2008 models. Since the both look nearly the same, other than the spider being a convertable, I thought I would ask the question for both models. My friend says that it looks like a girl's car but in all the commercials they have a guy driving the car. I think the only girls car is a VW beetle but other than I think all cars are pretty uni (Unless its pink cause no straight guy is going to want to drive a pink car). What do you, both ladies and dudes, think?
